Experience Hue cuisine the local way through a private, hands-on cooking experience with Mister T’s mom at our family home in the Hue countryside. Start by visiting a real local market, where you can see everyday Vietnamese life, choose fresh local ingredients and discover the foods local people actually buy and eat. Then return to our family home to learn how to prepare traditional Hue dishes in the local way, cook together with Mister T’s mom and enjoy the meal you have prepared with our family.

This is more than a cooking class. It is a chance to experience real local life in Hue through food — from the market and fresh ingredients to traditional cooking methods, homemade food and relaxed family meal. After cooking, continue by motorbike through peaceful countryside roads, rice fields and local villages, with opportunities to meet local people and see another side of everyday life away from the main tourist attractions.
Our small family-run Easy Rider team keeps the day private, friendly and relaxed. You can ride your own motorbike if you have the appropriate licence and experience, or simply sit back as a pillion passenger behind one of our experienced local guides.
If you are looking for a personal way to learn Hue cuisine, experience local Vietnamese food culture and discover the countryside beyond the main tourist attractions, this is a great way to spend a day in Hue

Tour Itinerary
1. Visit a Local Market & Cook with Mister T’s Mom
We begin by picking you up anywhere in Hue and riding through the countryside to a local market. Together, we choose fresh ingredients for our cooking class before returning to my family home.
Here, you’ll meet my mom, a passionate local cook, and learn how to prepare traditional Hue dishes in a relaxed family setting. Rather than simply watching a cooking demonstration, you’ll take part in preparing the food yourself and then enjoy the meal together.

Depending on your preferences, dishes may include:
- Bún bò Huế (Hue-style noodle soup)
- Bánh khoái (Hue pancake)
- Fried morning glory
- Fried Pineapple and tomato with beef
- Fresh or fried spring rolls

Vegan options are available — just let us know your preference.
2. Explore Hue Countryside & Visit Thanh Toan Village & Bridge

After enjoying the lunch you have prepared with our family, we get back on the motorbikes and continue deeper into the Hue countryside, riding along peaceful back roads through local villages, rice fields and rural landscapes.
This is a chance to experience a quieter side of Hue and see more of everyday countryside life, away from main tourist areas.
Next, we visit the peaceful Thanh Toan Bridge — a charming 18th-century covered bridge located in Thuy Thanh Village, about 8 km east of Hue.
You’ll also explore:
- Traditional rice farming techniques
- The rice farming museum
- Family worship houses
- The local village market
3. Ride Through Rice Fields & Discover the City of Ghosts (An Bang Cemetery)
After visiting Thanh Toan Village, we continue riding through some of the beautiful rice fields of the Hue countryside. We stop along the way to see local farmers working in the fields and learn more about how rice is growing and produced in rural Hue.
It is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, take photos and experience everyday countryside life before continuing to one of Hue’s most fascinating cultural sites.

Next, we explore one of the largest and most elaborate cemeteries in the world — An Bang, also known as the “City of Ghosts.”
This extraordinary place features extravagant tombs and temples built to honor ancestors, blending Vietnamese architecture, spiritual beliefs, and family traditions.
4. Phu Dien Beach & Scenic Coastal Ride Back to Hue
We then visit Phu Dien Beach, a beautiful stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear water. This peaceful, less-touristy beach is perfect for swimming, relaxing and enjoying some time by the sea after a day of exploring the countryside.

After the beach, we take a different scenic route back towards Hue, so you dont have to repeat the same roads. Ride along quieter coastal roads, enjoy the changing scenery and take in the peaceful lanscapes along the way.
Before we finish the day, our last stop is Tam Giang Lagoon, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the lagoon and see local fishermen working as they go about their everyday lives. It is a peaceful way to experience another side of Hue and the local fishing culture before returning to the city.

After enjoying the sunset at Tam Giang Lagoon, we continue our final ride back to Hue and drop you off anywhere in Hue at your convenience, whether that is your hotel, homestay, train station, bus station or another location you prefer.
