Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hue to Prao Minority Village via Scenic Countryside & Hai Van Pass (180 km)
Your adventure begins around 8:30 AM (or whenever you choose). After pickup at your hotel, train station, or airport, we leave Hue and ride into the peaceful Hue countryside, following quiet back roads through rice fields, traditional villages, and rural communities. Our first stop is Thanh Toan Bridge, a charming wooden bridge surrounded by traditional rice fields, a local market, and a rice museum. It is a wonderful introduction to everyday life in rural Hue and a chance to see a more local side of the area beyond the city’s famous historical attractions.
We continue through peaceful villages and rice paddies toward the City of Ghosts, one of the Vietnam’s most fascinating and elaborate cemetery areas. Here, your guide will share stories about Vietnamese spirituality, architecture, family traditions, and the cultural meaning behind the impressive tombs. From there, we ride toward Tam Giang Lagoon, where you can learn how local fishing communities live and work around the lagoon. We then continue to Mo Waterfall, a peaceful natural spot surrounded by jungle where you can relax beside the cascading water before continuing toward the coast.
After lunch at Lang Co Beach — one of the most beautiful beaches in the world — we ascend the world-famous Hai Van Pass, stopping often for photos and stories from your guide. From the coast and lagoon to the forested mountains, the changing scenery makes this one of the highlights of the journey.
Leaving the Hai Van Pass behind, we ride deeper into the mountains on scenic back roads, stopping at a tea plantation before visiting a series of Co Tu minority villages. With regular fresh-fruit stops about every 25 minutes, the ride is relaxed and never rushed. By late afternoon, we arrive at Prao Minority Village, where we settle in for the night and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere and sunset.
Day 2: Prao to Hue via Ho Chi Minh Trail (160 km)
After breakfast, we leave Prao and ride along one of the most scenic sections of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, winding through lush jungle, green valleys and peaceful mountain lanscapes. This is a beautiful part of Central Vietnam, far from the busy tourist routes, where the journey itself is as memorable as the destinations along the way.
As we continue through the mountains, we visit Co Tu villages and meet local people, giving you a chance to learn more about their traditional way of life and culture. Along the route, we’ll also stop at a beautiful hidden waterfall where you can take a refreshing swim and relax in the peaceful natural surroundings.
As we get closer to Hue, we visit Vong Canh Hill, a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Perfume River and the surrounding countryside. We also explore historical bunkers and enjoy the peaceful pine forests before continuing toward the city.
Our final stop is the Abandoned Waterpark at Thuy Tien Lake, one of Hue’s most unusual attractions. Here, you can explore the famous dragon statue, take photos, and enjoy a fascinating contrast between the surrounding nature and this abandoned site.
