Tour Itinerary
This private 2-day / 1-night Easy Rider motorbike tour connects Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An via the spectacular Hai Van Pass and the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail.
The same sightseeing stops are available in both directions, with the main difference being the order in which you visit them. The itinerary below describes the one-way journey from Hue to Hoi An or Da Nang. If you choose to travel in the opposite direction, from Hoi An or Da Nang to Hue, we’ll visit the same places in reverse order.
Day 1: Hue → Prao Minority Village via Hai Van Pass (180 km)
Your adventure begins with pickup around 8:30 AM from your hotel, train or bus station, or airport in Hue. We then ride along peaceful countryside roads to Thanh Toan Bridge, a charming arched wooden bridge surrounded by rice fields and local markets. Here, you’ll learn about traditional Vietnamese farming and family worship.
From Thanh Toan Village, we ride along peaceful countryside roads through green rice fields and traditional villages towards the remarkable City of Ghosts — one of the world’s largest and most ornate cemeteries, where families build elaborate tombs for their ancestors.
After exploring the cemetery, we continue along scenic back roads, passing peaceful lagoons, traditional fishing villages and beautiful coastal lanscapes. We then visit Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Southeast Asia, where you’ll see how local fishermen work. Next, we stop at Mo Waterfall, a hidden gem perfect for a refreshing swim and photo break.
After our waterfall stop, we continue to Lang Co Beach — one of the world’s top beaches, where we enjoy a delicious lunch by the coast and take in the beautiful seaside scenery. We then ride into the mountains via the iconic Hai Van Pass, stopping often for scenic photos and coffee.
In the afternoon, our journey continues deeper into the mountains along scenic countryside roads. We visit a local tea plantation, enjoy fresh local fruit and make plenty of stops for photos, drinks and beautiful views along the way. As we ride towards Prao, we make additional stops to explore Co Tu minority villages, and discover more about the local culture and traditional way of life.
As the day draws to a close, we enjoy the beautiful sunset over the surrounding mountains before settling into a local homestay in Prao, where we spend the night.
Day 2: Prao → Hoi An / Da Nang via Ho Chi Minh Trail (160 km)
On day two, we journey along the most scenic stretch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, riding through peaceful valleys and dense jungle.
Our first stop is a local kindergarten in a Co Tu village, where you can see a little of everyday community life and learn about the importance of education for children in this remote mountain region. We then explore nearby Co Tu villages, discovering traditional customs, local culture and the unique way of life of the community.
As we continue through the countryside, we stop at a hidden jungle waterfall, where you can enjoy the natural surroundings, take photos and have a refreshing swim when conditions are safe.
In the afternoon, we visit My Son Sanctuary — a sacred Cham temple complex and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After exploring My Son, we ride along scenic back roads through the Hoi An countryside to visit a traditional rice paper-making village. Here, you can learn how local families make rice paper and noodles, try making rice paper yourself and taste the freshly made result.
Our two-day adventure finishes with drop-off at your preferred location anywhere in Hoi An or Da Nang, whether at your hotel or another agreed destination.
For trips traveling in the opposite direction, from Hoi An or Da Nang to Hue, we’ll drop you off at your preferred location anywhere in Hue.

How do you transport our luggage during the motorbike tour?
We take care of your luggage throughout the journey. Suitcases and bags that can be carried safely are securely strapped to our motorbikes and protected with plastic covers if needed. If your luggage is too large or bulky to carry safely on a motorbike, we can arrange separate transport by car or van to your destination. Please let us know how many bags you have and their approximate sizes when booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
